Why isn't anybody talking about HR 888?
This resolution was introduced by Randy Forbes (R-VA4) and has been co-sponsored so far by 82 other Congressman. It is based upon the historical lies of the pseudohistorian David Barton, founder of Wallbuilders. So far, the only mention of this resolution I've seen has been the efforts of Chris Rodda at the anti-Christian Right collaborative blog Talk To Action to debunk its historical falsehoods.
Why doesn't the Christian Right's lies about history get anywhere near as much attention and opposition from Freethinkers as their campaign to stick lies in science classes does?

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has talked about it too on their radio show. Not alot about it in the mainstream press. The major cable nutworks may fear an advertising backlash if it's criticized in any way.
It hasn't passed yet? Maybe a letter to my congressman is in order.
